Have you ever wondered how easy and not cheap is to recycle Tetrapak?
Tetrapak is quite popular as a packaging material in Food Industry but...from a chemical point of view, it is rather expensive and difficult to recycle it. Why?
Tetrapak consists of three, four, five or six layers of different materials...so in order to recycle it, somebody needs to separate first the 3-6 layers and then recycle each material in a separate production line. It is feasible but not easy!
So, why are we so prone to Tetrapak? I would welcome your thoughts on how much environmentally friendly is tetrapak...
